Macrophage means “big eaters” and that’s just what they do. Macrophages are a non-specific type of cell which include white blood cells and neutrophils. They engulf foreign substances and neutralise them. Macrophages are also a part of the specific immune system, by which after they engulf an antigen they will display a fragment of the antigen on its MCH markers on the external surface of the cell known as fragmental display, for T helper cells to come and collect.
Marcophages
Marcrophages Greek for "big eaters" are a non-specific type of immune cell that also include phagocytes. However they can also transcend into the specific immune system as the present antigenic fragments to those cells in the specific immune system.
